Woah! I'll have to test this out, that's an impressive number.
Bart is right though, CRTs have different power consumption
characteristics than LCDs. In fact, on an LCD showing all white pixels
can actually consume less power than showing all black, since to
display all black, maximum current has to be applied to the LCD itself
to block the backlight. An all white display lets the LCD "relax" and
not block any backlight light.
